We stood admiring the multitude of pink hues in the clouds as the sun set. It had been a great day that had started at dawn. With e-mails sent and answered, work projects complete and a meeting with friends and colleagues concluded, the day had been one of those of story-book perfection.

Simplifying Life Is Complicated

I've threatened to do this for years. Simplify. It certainly takes a lot of complicated decisions to simplify a life. There is one good lesson I've learned: When you simplify your life, you need to let go. Let go of A LOT of "THINGS".

Boaz and Bandit - the New Black Boys in the Hood

The sand, sea, plants and animals on this Island are very different than what we find in the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado. I have been very protective of my kitties, only allowing them outside on occasion and keeping them well within eye and ear shot. They have absolutely loved exploring their new surroundings and I am fortunate that, just like dogs, they will come running when I whistle.

With cats in tow, the journey to Belize begins at 2:30 a.m. on June 15, 2013. Flying from Denver to Fort Worth to Belize City and then hopping on the island jumper to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye became a full day of travel.
